How often do you use social media? How often do you see the companies you like on social media? I am going to guess that you look at social media for at least 15 minutes a day and that you see at least three of your favorite brands. If you have a company, use social media to your advantage! Here are some tips to help you improve your social media presence and website.
- Social Proofing

One of the most important, if not the most important thing you need to be aware of is social proofing. Social proofing is showing your customers that a lot of other people claim to approve of your product or approve of your page. If you just started your business, you might not have a lot of social proof; however, there are many things you can do to improve it. For example, you can increase your brand exposure with ads, use affiliate marketers to show your product to new groups of people, or share milestones that you have achieved.
2. Create curiosity and happiness with your social media posts

Humans are curious and gravitate towards happiness. Posts with higher emotional value get liked and shared more on social media. Coca Cola is a great example of a company who used happiness and excitement to appeal to people’s emotions. It also made their viewers curious as well as to why Coca Cola was using polar bears in their commercials, and people gravitated towards their products more.
3. Engage with your followers and fans

People like to feel valued and part of something bigger than themselves. Brands that engage with their followers, often have a very strong core set of customers. Nike does a terrific job of this on social media. The picture above shows that they get their customers involved with the Nike brand. Nike is also known to comment of people’s posts if they endorse Nike.
What’s stopping you from gaining a large audience on social media? What’s stopping you from driving a lot of traffic to your website? Follow these steps and put your brand out there.
